YOGA
Your yoga takes place in Ubud Bali in an open plan yoga shala overlooking the jungle and rice fields, the shala is surrounded by tropical flora and boasts stained glass windows, our daily yoga practice will have a focus on a variety of Asana, Pranayama (breath control), and meditation coupled with therapeutic yoga on some evenings. The Asana practice will include elements of alignment focus, moving mudra meditation and focus on bhandas leading to a safe and enlightening yoga practice. Kathy designs every yoga class for all levels ensuring it is challenging when needed but retaining its playfulness. Our interactive lectures on various topics are your opportunity to be supported and inspired to go deeper into your own practice. After 10 days of amazing yoga with Kathy you will have developed a greater knowledge of yoga and your yoga journey. It will leave you with a renewed sense of yourself and you will feel fantastic...
FOOD
Each morning there will be a variety of foods on offer for breakfast, including coffee, omlets, French toast, along with Indonesian breakfast of pancakes and traditional rice with a fried egg. This is including in your stay.
Lunch and Dinner - You can choose to eat at the resort Or The area is surrounded by the most amazing restaurants of vegetarian meals as well as an array of fresh seafood caught on the day. We will also be going into UBUD city to catch a show and dinner. Lunch usually coast about £3 to £5 and dinner runs about £8 to £10, which usually includes appetisers, a drink, and the main dish. There are many places to choose from and we all love to eat dinner together- more yogi bonding...
The ethos of this retreat is 100% health and well-being, giving you time to relax, unwind and reconnect. BUT those looking for a bit of a party too, there is plenty to do on the island of Gili T, including daily pool and beach parties.

Ubud Bali Resort has designed rooms with views of the beautiful garden and jungle rice fields across an infinity pool, includes A/C facilities and ensuite bathrooms.
Gili Trawangan Resort has beautiful rooms with views of the tropical gardens, directly across from white sand beaches including a balcony, A/C facilities, and ensuite bathrooms.
Both resorts have a pool, lounge chairs, and beautiful gardens.
Each room is designed for 2 people and is to be booked directly with Yoga University

All bedrooms are immaculate and boast traditional Balinese decor. Your own tropical paradise.
All rooms have ensuites, air con, fresh daily linens, towels, a tea kettle, a refrigerator, free bottled water daily, toiletries, and a hairdryer.

* Due to COVID19- if the retreat gets canceled due to travel restrictions you will get a full refund.
We accept payment by bank transfer and all major credit cards. Payment plans are available, £175 deposit is non-refundable and payment in full is required 30 days before the retreat date. For full booking terms please see our T&Cs in the footer
GETTING TO BALI AND GILI TRAWANGAN
The price excludes flights, the nearest airport is Denpasar Bali Airport. Transfers included. with spaces limited to 18, It will be an intimate affair for only your closest new friends.
Transfer included: pick up at the airport, transfer from Ubud to Port, Boat transfer to Gili T, and Boat transfer back to the mainland.
*You will be responsible to a horse carriage (£10) from the port to the hotel and horse transfer on the day of departure, once back on mainland Bali you will need to secure a taxi to the airport (1.5 hours away- about £15). *There is no motorized transport on the island of Gili Trawangan.
*I would suggest staying a few extra days on Gili T or Gili Air to complete your yoga holiday.
It is the perfect balance of effort and surrender-nurture yourself with challenging Vinyasa yoga in the mornings, then explore your personal practice and some fun advancements. It is all suitable for most abilities.
The morning Vinyasa will be creative, flowing and challenging and we slow down in the evening class where we will cover a variety of topics in a workshop setting including:m covering partner yoga, the 8 limbs of yoga, chakras, arm balances, inversions, and pranayama. Pick and choose, do a little or a lot, it is your holiday to enjoy. The retreat setting allows for plenty of individual guidance so that we’ll be able to work with your specific level and requirements. Getting away in a beautiful setting to practice yoga is just amazing and will leave you feeling refreshed and revived.
About Kathy:
Kathy's approach to yoga is one that honors the need for individual self study with the aim of improving interpersonal relations and common-unity. Kathy has studied yoga since 1999, with teachers such as Duncan Wong, Shiva Rae, Desiree Rumbaugh, Bikram, Larry Shultz and Iyengar.

By combing asana, meditation and pranayama, Kathy provides an opportunity to explore the Spiritual through the Physical. Kathy works to bring the study of yoga off the mat and into the practice of Life. "Yoga is an amazing experience and it is my greatest joy to share this ancient practice with others".
She has over 10,000 hours of teaching experience and holds a Sports Yoga Certification, 200 hour vinyasa certification, 200 hours Anusara inspired teacher, Masters degree in Physical Science and is a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and a Yoga Elder with The Independent Yoga Network.
